Porta Del Vento (meaning door of the wind) is a natural wine producer based at the top of a mountain in Camporeale region of Sicily, close to Palermo. Whilst owner Marco Sferlazzo produces serious wines like ARCAI Anfora Rosso, Trebbi (made from Trebbiano) and more including the rarer red grape Perricone aged in Amphora - their fun and playful VORIA pet nats impress and delight for their wonderful price point. And here you can get all four of them:
VORIA Bianco
This Voria Pet Nat Bianco from Porta Del Vento is FANTASTIC! Made on the top of a windy mountain which keeps the vines cooler than many other places in Sicily, (Porta Del Vento means "door of the wind"), this delightful Pet Nat sparkling wine is easy-going, fresh, salty, citrussy and with a nice mineral touch.
Ideal for the sun, we found this Catarratto wine has a nice salinity running through it alongside hints of wet pebble, lemon rind, mild meadow flowers, hints of subtle melon and vanilla essence. WE LOVE IT!
VORIA Rosato
Voria Rosato by Porta del Vento is a wonderful, great value sparkling Pet Nat wine that features delightful notes of raspberry, vanilla cream and lime! WE LOVE IT!
VORIA Orange
Voria Orange by Porta Del Vento is a fun, pet nat wine made in Sicily with Catarratto and Grillo grapes.
This is a fun, affordable no-fuss orange pet nat. We describe it as like "Adult Fanta"! So easy to drink and with a distinctive orange peel note
VORIA Rosso
Fun, easy, highly drinkable fizzy red, bit like a Lambrusco! But be careful opening, its explosive on opening so pop it over the sink or outside carefully.
Little spicy actually, tart in the nicest way. Tasty aperitivo
