Palomino

This Palomino is a brilliant value, natural wine crafted by El Pinto, in the Andalusia region in Spain. This white wine is made with 100% Palomino grapes, which is actually one of our favourite white grapes in Spain! It's got some nice matchstruck reduction on it, is somewhat salty, it's vibrant, it's creamy and really a hard find to get this grape made naturally at this price. We love it!

El Pinto is a collaboration between Les Caves de Pyrene and Hacienda La Parrilla, with the idea to create excellent value wines from sustainably grown grapes, as naturally as possible, and wines that will also express the region and terroir.

The vineyards are part of a 500 hectare estate in the San Jose del Valle south-east of Jerez, in the countryside close to the Sierra de Cadiz. The estate is made up of old olive trees, vineyards (17ha), pasture (where Iberico pigs roam free) and other crops.
