Everything Robert Osička shows is sparkling, made by the traditional method with the second fermentation in the bottle, under his Punkista label in South Moravia. He is a punk and Sex Pistols fan, and the eldest son of Czech natural winemaker Jaroslav Osička, who pushed him towards farming his vineyards sustainably.
Punkista 'Vavřinec Brut' 2018 is 100% Czech Saint Laurent, rosé in colour, with mulberries, oxidised apples and cherries over a yeasty base. Punkista 'Veltín + Sauvignon' 2018 is a 50:50 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Grüner Veltliner from vines over 30 years old on loess soils. There is a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Brut too.
