"La Marcette" Chardonnay 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Julien Mareschal of Domaine de la Borde, who is based in the small village of Pupilin, up the hill from Arbois in the Jura. The labels are designed by Julien himself.

This wine features Chardonnay grapes grown on red marl soils, at an altitude of 300m. The wine is rested for 12 months on the lees, aging in old oak barrels.

Expect minerality, finesse and length with La Marcette, but try to age if you can as it will only get better and better. It may be a little to young to express itself fully in 2024

Limited to ONE BOTTLE PER ORDER

NATURAL WINES BY DOMAINE DE LA BORDE

Domaine de la Borde is a standout winemaker of Jura wines, located in the village of Pupillin, where Julien Maréschal crafts wines that truly reflect the region’s unique terroir. Known for his meticulous approach, Julien has carved out a reputation for producing wines that highlight the raw, mineral qualities of the land, aligning with the traditions of other top Jura producers.
A skilled jazz musician as well (you can catch him in our documentary!), Julien’s commitment to his craft shines through in every bottle. His wines are often full of mineral energy, with some vineyards featuring 'Schist Carton,' a distinct type of flaky rock found among his blue marl soils. Watch out video documentary here
