In regards to Natural Wine, Franken in Germany is quite well known for the low intervention wine movement. This wine region is located in the northern part of Bavaria, so more south than the majority of wine regions in the country.
Some of the prominent natural wine producers from this region include Stefan Vetter, 2Naturkinder and Andi Weigand.
The primary grape varieties grown in Franken include Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, and Bacchus. Silvaner, in particular, thrives in this region, producing wines with refreshing acidity and vibrant fruitiness.
