Parellada
Parellada is a white wine grape that is primarily grown in the Catalonia region of Spain. It is one of the three traditional grape varieties used in the production of Cava, a sparkling wine that is highly regarded worldwide.
Parellada is known for its crisp acidity and delicate flavors. It often exhibits notes of green apple, citrus, and floral undertones.
The Catalonia region, particularly the Penedès and Tarragona areas, is the main hub for Parellada production. The Mediterranean climate and the influence of the nearby mountains create the perfect conditions for this grape to thrive.
