Gargantua 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Anthony Tortul of La Sorga, in the Languedoc region in France. This orange wine is made with Colombard grapes grown on 15-year-old vines.

Grown on basaltic clay soils in Adissan, in the Hérault Valley, this is one of La Sorga's more mineral-driven cuvées, with low yields (48 hl/ha) shaping a wine that tastes more like a place than a grape.

The grapes undergo a 42-day destemmed maceration, then age for 10 months in a sandstone amphora, with no added sulphites.

Winemaker tasting notes describe an intensely mineral nose, with boxwood and lime showing real delicacy. The palate is described as having wild tension, almost direct-press in its precision, with a finish of boxwood, citrus zest and Granny Smith apple.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.
