Trousseau 2023

Trousseau 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Sylvain Jacquot of Caveau du Val de l'Amour in the Jura region in France. This red wine is made with Trousseau grapes, vinified in his winery in Cramans, which is essentially his garage at the back of his house. Its a very small operation, and he farms just 1.5-2 hectares so these wines are not easy to come by, and not too much sold outside the region.

This Trousseau needs a quick carafe to blow off a tiny reduction , which is not a problem at all. It then offers you an adventure! With a vibrant smokey nose then a palate lf medicinal herbs, stewed rhubarb and wild strawberries and peppery touches, this wine is certainly full of character!! Really cool!
