Zone Vigne Pinot Noir

Zone Vigne Pinot Noir is a natural wine crafted by Domaine des Troillières , in the Auvergne region in France. This red wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes.

Production details of Zone Vigne Pinot Noir: Zone Vigne is 100% Pinot Noir from Camille and Mikaël Hyvert at Domaine des Trouillères in Les Martres-de-Veyre, Auvergne. They inherited the 5.8-hectare estate in 2017 from Jean-Pierre Pradier, founder of the Côtes d'Auvergne AOC, and immediately began farming using a lunar-calendar approach. The Pinot Noir comes from clay-limestone and basaltic (volcanic) soils. Vines are planted between 380 and 500m. Grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and ferment wild in cement tank, then age in fibreglass. Minimal sulphur at bottling.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Zone Vigne Pinot Noir by Domaine des Trouillères, but we hear it has notes of red cherry, cranberry, smoke and a volcanic mineral lift.
