Soley 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Jas Swan Katla Wines, in the Rheinhessen region in Germany. This orange wine is made with 100% Kerner grapes, and there are around just 800 bottles made!

Jasmin Swan of Katla Wines tells us this wine is rich, amber in color. Notes of orange peel, ginger, sunflowers, agave, smokey island whisky, oxidative, aged in old barriques

Residual sugar: 10gr. So a bit sweet and ideal for cheeseboards :)

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

WHAT IS ORANGE WINE?

Orange wines are actually white wines, but with a different winemaking process - they’re made by fermenting the juice with the grape skins, which is mostly done with red wines, not white. This extra step adds tannins, flavor, and a unique color to the wine.
Because of the skin contact, orange wines tend to have more herbal, aromatic notes, and they can also have a bit of bitterness depending on the grape, how long the skins are left in contact with the juice, and the vessel used for maturation. Unlike most white wines, they can also feature tannins (which are formed from the skins, which white wines do not use). Orange wines are a style that brings out some really interesting flavors that many people adore for their unique properties, whether easy going or complex.
