This wine is special as it is not easy to find older vintages of Georgian natural wine outside of the country, and as the wines often need more aging than other countries (although sometimes less so in the Western Imereti region than Eastern Kakheti), this wine has a head start for the tannins to soften more and become more integrated

The natural wine Otskhanburi Sapere 2017 from the producer Nanua Wines is made using 100% Otskhanuri Sapere grapes and is fermented and aged in a qvevri, a traditional clay amphora. The wine undergoes 14 days of skin contact in the qvevri, with sources indicating maceration times of both 10 and 14 days for the 2017 vintage.
