 In 2014, when Valentin Morel left his civil service job to return to the family vineyard, he faced a series of challenges: infestations of flies and mildew, harsh winters, and scorching summers. He realised that cultivating the land today means living with the daily consequences of climate change. Closely connected to the land, the young winemaker recounts his return to the soil and his conversion to organic farming and hybrid grape varieties. Advocating manual labor as an intellectual and political commitment, he offers a personal reflection on our relationship to work, ethics, and the land.
