Claviento 2020

It's Now Or Never 2020 is a natural wine crafted by La Despeinada, in the Catalonia region in Spain. This red wine is made with Grenache grapes.

Production details of Claviento: Claviento is made by Alex and Petra at La Despeinada in Bot, Tarragona, Catalonia. The wine is 100% Garnacha Blanca (Grenache Blanc) harvested in August from a modest vineyard exposed to strong winds (the wine takes its name from the wind). 24-hour maceration, then alcoholic fermentation with wild yeasts and maturation in steel. No added sulphur. The Despeinada style is intuitive and ancestral, approached fresh each harvest.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Claviento by La Despeinada, but we hear it has notes of ripe citrus, marzipan, dried Mediterranean herbs and a touch of Angostura bitterness.
