Vino Di Anna | Etna Wines
Vino Di Anna is a natural wine producer from Mount Etna in Sicily, known for Anna Martens & Eric Narioo's use of regional grapes, often made in Qvevri. Eric Nairoo is actually also the founder of the largest UK Natural Wine importer Les Caves de Pyrene, and this is his passion project with his wife Anna Martins, who is the Australian winemakers taking the lead and utilising a former Palmento wine building as their cellar (although not allowed to stomp grapes in it, which is now illegal).
Popular Vino di Anna wines include Palmento Rosso, Tartaraci & Jeudi 15. Personally, we find their Nerello Mascalese one of the finest expressions of the grape we have ever encountered!

Using a wide range of the regional grapes including Alicante, Catarratto, Grecanico, Minnella, Nerello Cappuccio, Nerello Mascalase ... most oddly, they even have a wine with Savagnin, Chenin Blanc and Riesling added too (called Nave Bianco).
Vino di Anna restored an old Palmento building in 2010, which is what locals used to make wine in, but is now forbidden to use for fermentation the traditional way for hygiene reasons, so Vino di Anna host their Qvevri Amphora and barrels in it.
