Most natural wine lovers will know about the wines from the tiny French region Jura and how highly regarded they are worldwide. Whilst names like Ganevat, Overnoy or Labet are well known already and sought after, there are so many other fantastic winemakers in this small region - actually it's pretty impressive just how many good natural wines are produced in a relatively small space in France.
One of these wonderful winemakers whose wines and character we instantly fell in love with is Domaine de la Touraize.
Domaine de la Touraize is a natural wine producer in the winemaking appelation of Arbois, in the Jura region of France. Run by Héléana and André-Jean Morin, offering wines made only with their own domain fruit. Grapes grown include all the typical varieties of Jura: Poulsard, Trousseau, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Savagnin which are made with elegance and grace.
From their "La Cabane" Poulsard (named after the cabin by the edge of the vines), through amazing, rounded and elegant whites till the impressive Cremant du Jura, Touraize wines have a refinement to them and offer great value for money for Jura natural wines too.
In this box we are showing you four of their wines:
La Cabane 2022
Les Moulins 2021
Les Voisines 2021
Les Corvees 2022
We visited them a couple of times in Jura and made this little documentary about them, so why not watch it, whilst enjoying their lovely Jura wines:
