Cava Mirgin Brut Nature 2020

Cava Mirgin Brut Nature 2020 is a natural wine crafted by Alta Alella , in the hot and dry Navarra region in Spain. This sparkling wine is made with Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada grapes, and will have more of a classic approach despite being made with low intervention techniques.

Production details of Cava Mirgin Brut Nature: Cava Mirgin Brut Nature is an estate-grown Cava made by Alta Alella in Catalonia. The blend is Xarel·lo (locally Pansa Blanca), Macabeu and Parellada from cooler maritime Comtats de Barcelona. Their terraced vineyards sit within the Serralada de Marina Natural Park, just over a mile from the Mediterranean and a short 20-minute drive from Barcelona. The family has farmed without synthetic chemistry since founding the winery in 1991. The wine ages a minimum of 35 months on its lees and is bottled brut nature with no dosage.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Cava Mirgin Brut Nature by Alta Alella, but we hear it has notes of white fruit, citrus, light pastry and green almond from extended lees ageing.
