Bobal
Bobal is a red wine grape that is primarily grown in the Utiel-Requena region which is located in the province of Valencia, is known for its hot and dry climate, which is ideal for cultivating this grape variety. Bobal is also grown in other regions of Spain, such as La Mancha and Alicante. The popular natural wine producer, Partida Creus, in Catalonia also make Bobal, including an Ancestral Pet Nat version.
One of the most important characteristics of Bobal is its ability to withstand extreme weather conditions, making it a resilient and hardy grape. This resilience is reflected in the wine it produces, which is known for its deep color, high tannins, and bold flavors.
