Stéphane Tissot | Wine of Jura
Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte produce truly unique and terroir-driven natural wines from their 35-hectare vineyard in Jura. Like many contemporary vintners, Stéphane took over the vineyard from his father with a new vision and converted it to chemical-free farming, then took the domain to be more in tune with the moon and lunar cycle.
Domaine Tissot’s white wines, which focus on regional grapes Chardonnay and Savagnin are precise, pure, and mineral driven, while the reds - Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Poulsard - are lighter, red-fruited, and aromatic. Some of their wines include Vin Jaunes, which are special as vinified according to seperate plots, like 'En Spois' rather than blended together, which they are the only domain to do so.
