When making the order, you pay “MORE Natural Wine” the bottle price excluding VAT or alcohol duties. This price is shown to you in smaller print in the product listing (where it says ‘to pay now’). You will also pay a shipping fee, which covers the transport cost, at the checkout.

After the order has been delivered, you’ll pay the courier Swiss VAT, alcohol duty (only if your order exceeds 5 litres of wine), and a courier handling fee. The price of the bottle plus Swiss VAT (excluding alcohol duty and handling fee) is estimated in the larger print under the product name.

1. 7,7% Swiss VAT on order total (including shipping)
2. Alcohol duty: 2 CHF per litre for the amount imported ABOVE the daily allowance of 5 litres
3. Approximately 18 CHF courier handling fees, this will be shown on the bill as a 10 CHF flat admin fee + 8 CHF or 1.5% of the order value (whichever is more) for advance payment of all taxes by the courier on your behalf

These will be totaled and sent as a bill from the courier shortly after delivery is made.

Here is an example order and the cost breakdown for 12 identical bottles of wine:

• Wine cost CHF 15.90 per bottle excluding VAT x 12 = CHF 190.80 + Shipping fee 12 bottles = CHF 19.00

Total paid to “MORE Natural Wine” at checkout: CHF 209.80

• 7.7% Swiss VAT on total order cost incl. shipping = CHF 16.15 +  Alcohol duty on wine (under 18% ABV), 2 CHF per litre for 4 litres (12 750ml bottles is 9 litres, there is a 5 litres allowance before alcohol duties, leaving 4 litres to be charged duties on) = CHF 8.00 + Admin fees = CHF 18.00

Total to be paid to the courier after delivery = CHF 42.15
