Tempranillo

Tempranillo is a red wine grape that is widely grown in Spain, particularly in the regions of Rioja and Ribera del Duero. It is also cultivated in Portugal, where it is known as Tinta Roriz, and in several other countries around the world.

Tempranillo is known for its deep color, medium to full body, and moderate tannins. Tempranillo wines often exhibit flavors of red and black fruits, such as cherry, plum, and blackberry, as well as notes of tobacco, leather, and vanilla.

In Spain, Tempranillo is often blended with other grape varieties, such as Garnacha (Grenache) and Mazuelo but it is also used to produce single-varietal wines that showcase its unique characteristics.
