Esencia Rural wines
Esencia Rural are known for experimental wines, often with Volatile Acidity and crazy flavours like Sol a Sol Airen. Run by Julián Ruiz Villanueva and his wife, the duo farm 38 hectares of often extremely old, ungrafted, dry-farmed, bush-vines, whose fruit is fermented and macerated for extended periods (from 2 to 16 months) Their entry level Pampaneo wines are good for natural wine beginners, whilst their Sol a Sol Airen is more suitable for those used to crazy wines!
