Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the main grape from iconic master Emidio Pepe, who has gained international acclaim over his lifetime work merging old traditions with new techniques.
Having worked 55 harvests, Emidio Pepe is most well known for his vision of the aging potential for Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano. With respect to this, the family has a truly massive cellar of back vintages, which are released every now and then.
These BIG wines are meant for aging, and the older they are, generally the higher in price they get as their ideal drinking period is more suitable.
