Aragonez
Aragonez, also known as Tempranillo, is a red wine grape that is widely cultivated in several regions around the world. It is particularly prominent in Spain, where it is the primary grape variety used in the production of Rioja and Ribera del Duero wines. Additionally, it is also grown in Portugal, where it is known as Aragonez, yet in Spain and elsewhere, it is known as Tempranillo.
Aragonez grapes are known for their versatility and ability to produce high-quality wines. They have thick skins, which contribute to their deep color and tannic structure. The wines made from Aragonez aka Tempranillo grapes are typically medium to full-bodied, with flavors of red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, as well as notes of spice and earthiness.
The grape thrives in warm climates and is well-suited to regions with a Mediterranean climate. It is highly adaptable and can be grown in a variety of soil types.
