Saint Laurent | Sankt Laurent
Saint Laurent, also known as Sankt Laurent, is a red wine grape primarily grown in regions such as Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, where it thrives in the cool climate and limestone-rich soils.
Saint Laurent is known for producing wines that are rich, full-bodied, and velvety in texture. It exhibits a wide range of flavors, including dark berries, cherries, and plums, with hints of spice , smoke and earthiness. The wines made from this grape often have a vibrant acidity and well-integrated tannins, making them suitable for aging.
Austria, in particular, has gained recognition for its exceptional Saint Laurent wines. The region of Burgenland, located in eastern Austria, is known for producing some of the finest examples of this grape.
