Amfora 2021

Amfora 2021 by Herzanovi is a natural wine made in Moravia with Gewürztraminer and Pálava grapes.

SUPPLIER NOTES: It has a bit of the characteristic aromatic & perfumed nose. Dried apricots, liquorice, dried oranges & a bit of cinnamon. Best enjoyed chilled.

40% Gewurztraminer + 60% Pálava (Czech cross between Müller Thurgau and Gewürztraminer) fermenting and ageing for 9 months with skins, stems and seeds in an amphora, as you can guess from the name.

Such a long maceration resulted in a dark orange colour and an opulent wine with a seducing aroma of dried apricots and dried oranges, with additional tones of dried herbs and spices. Expect higher level of tannin and quite an intense taste (in a good way!). Bottled without filtration and sulphites.
