Cinsault is a French red grape traditionally used in the Southern Rhône blend (along with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre). Today, it's widely planted in many hotter climates since it thrives in hot, windy weather - including Africa, Australia, and the USA. On its own, Cinsault produces a soft, light red wine that is low in tannins.
