STYRIA | STEIRMARK WINE
Styria is an Austrian wine region located along the Slovenian border. While the amount of wine produced is little compared to other regions in Austria, it is known for the high quality of its wines.
The most popular white grape varieties include Welschreisling, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, and Chardonnay (known locally as Morillon), while the most common red grape varieties are Pinot Noir, Saint Laurent, Zweigelt, and Blauer Wildbacher. Popular natural wine producers in Styria include Andreas Tscheppe, Tauss, Strohmeier, Werlitsch, and Sepp & Maria Muster.
