Pin-oh Noir is a natural wine crafted by Rennersistas, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This red wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes.

Production details of Pin-oh Noir: Pin-oh Noir is a Pinot Noir from Rennersistas in Gols, Burgenland. The name plays on the Oberheide vineyard (OH = abbreviation), a small plot planted in 2017 by Stefanie Renner. The wine is 100% whole-bunch fermented with 2 to 5 days on the skins, then ages 6 months on the lees in 225L used oak barrels and clay amphora.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Pin-oh Noir by Rennersistas, but we hear it has notes of raspberry, cranberry, fragrant violet and a fine elegant texture.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY RENNERSISTAS

Rennersistas is the Renner family estate in Gols, near Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. Birgit and Helmuth Renner took over in 1988, and in 2014 their daughters Stefanie and Susanne started the Rennersistas label. Today Stefanie runs it with her brother Georg, working roughly a dozen hectares by the lunar calendar. The siblings learned low-intervention winemaking from Tom Lubbe of Matassa and Tom Shobbrook in the Barossa, which is where the Waiting for Tom name comes from.

In the cellar they use plenty of whole bunches and short skin macerations, with stainless steel, amphora and used barrels, and many wines are bottled without added sulphur. Waiting for Tom Weiss, Rosé and Rot are the easy way in, Intergalactic is a five-grape white blend, and Superglitzer is a juicy red of Blaufränkisch, Rösler, St. Laurent and Zweigelt. Also try the Welschriesling, a week on the skins in amphora.
