Chkhaveri Rosé 2020

Chkhaveri Rosé 2020 is a rare, natural wine crafted by Iberieli , in the Guria region in Western Georgia (Iberieli have vines in both the east and west, which differ greatly).

Production details of Chkhaveri Rosé: Chkhaveri Rosé is made by Zurab Topuridze at Iberieli, in Guria on the Black Sea coast of western Georgia. Zurab is a co-founder of the Georgian Natural Wine Association. The vines grow at around 300m on gentle slopes of clay loam soils in a subtropical climate. The wine is made in qvevri the western Georgian way, without stems and on partial skins (unlike the Kakheti tradition of long skin and stem contact).

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Chkhaveri Rosé by Iberieli, but we hear it has notes of apple, plum, lemon zest, flowers and a soft finish.
