Les Gruches 2021

Les Gruches 2021 is a natural wine crafted by Domaine Bobinet, in Saumur, the Loire region in France. This white wine is made with Chenin Blanc grapes, and Les Gruches is more complex than Poil de Lievre, giving off wonderful notes on the nose of ginger biscuits, that is very inviting!

Gruches 2021 conpared to the 2020 is a vibrant and refined Chenin Blanc with a salty, high acid aspect that keeps it more electric, rather than creamy and rounded. Great energy and one that will get better with years to come!

How is Les Gruches by Calvez-Bobinet made?

As for the vinification, the grapes for this wine are taken from vines aged between 50-85 years old grown on limestone and clay soils, and the wine is left to mature on the lees for 24 months in 500l old oak barrels.
