Savagnin Pure 2024

Savagnin Pure 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Seckinger, in the Pfalz region in Germany. This white wine is made with Savagnin grapes, which are usually found in the Jura region of France, so we are VERY interested to try this!

Production details of Savagnin Pure: Savagnin Pure is made by brothers Jonas, Lukas and Philipp Seckinger at their seventh-generation family winery in the Pfalz region of Germany. The Savagnin grape is unusual for Germany (it is the signature grape of the Jura, France). The brothers rejuvenated an old Gewürztraminer vineyard by adding Savagnin genetics brought from Jura. The wine ferments and ages in wooden barrels with minimal intervention. The "R Pure" range has no added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Savagnin Pure by Seckinger, but we hear it has notes of yellow pear, ripe peach, orange peel, chamomile, almond and a fine salty citrus lift.
