Is Meinklang Weisser Mulatschak the best value orange wine ever made?

We really like the Weisser Mulatschak 2025 by Meinklang as its a SERIOUSLY impressive orange natural wine for the incredible low price point.

Delicious blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris (Grauburgunder) and Welschriesling. Weißer Mulatschak is an easy going skin contact wine with that unique, aromatic twang of Gewürztraminer, but less intense than a full-on Gewürztraminer wine.Weißer Mulatschak is an easy going skin contact wine with that unique, aromatic twang of Gewürztraminer, but less intense than a full-on Gewürztraminer wine.

Peachy, almost like a Peach iced tea , with strawberry yogurt and clementine fruit elements alongside some tangy tangerine aspects and mild herbal qualities make this a real winner!

NATURAL WINES BY MEINKLANG

Meinklang is the Michlits family farm at Pamhagen, on the Hungarian border at the south end of Lake Neusiedl. Brothers Werner, Hannes and Lukas run it today, with Werner and his wife Angela in charge of vines and cellar. It is a full working farm with over 300 Angus cattle, sheep, orchards and old grains that go into their own beer. They also farm Hárslevelű and Juhfark on Somló, a volcanic hill in Hungary.

Grapes are hand-picked and wild fermented. It is one of the biggest natural wine estates we know. Start with Weisser Mulatschak, a skin-contact Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Welschriesling blend that is one of the best value orange wines around. Graupert Pinot Gris comes from vines that are never pruned, and the Abend and Nacht editions age in concrete eggs with no added sulphites.
