Provence | Natural Wine from Provence
In regards to Natural Wine, Provence is not exactly as popular as other French wine regions. However, it is still a popular wine region for winemakers located in the southern part of France. Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps, this picturesque region boasts a rich history of winemaking that goes back over two thousand years.
In addition to its renowned rose wines, Provence is known for growing a range of grape varieties including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault. These grapes contribute to the region's diverse and flavorful wine offerings.
Sadly, there are not too many natural wine producers in the Provence region. Some notable exceptions include Domaine du la Sulauze who make some wonderful wines like their Super Modeste Pet Nat, which drinks more like a Cremant.
