Zirudéla is a natural orange wine crafted by Al Di La´ Del Fiume, in the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy. This white wine is made with Grechetto, Albana and Montuni grapes. This orange wine is tangy, with notes of mandarin, herbal tea and preserved lemon.

Al di la Del Fiume says "The idea is to create the wine accessible for every day life. It is pleasant, fragrant, with a light structure that can be combined with many pasta dishes, fish, vegetables and white meats.

The light aromatic contribution of Grechetto Gentile and Montuni finally give a touch of light-heartedness to a wine drunk and enjoyed in the normal of good daily table.

Zirudela is a name in Bolognese dialect and it means the storytelling of the family made from grandmothers during special celebration like marriage. For us zirudela is the storytelling of all our white grapes that are in our farm. It is a great union between the tannin of albana and the aromatic perfume of montuni."

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

WHAT IS ORANGE WINE?

Orange wines are actually white wines, but with a different winemaking process - they’re made by fermenting the juice with the grape skins, which is mostly done with red wines, not white. This extra step adds tannins, flavor, and a unique color to the wine.
Because of the skin contact, orange wines tend to have more herbal, aromatic notes, and they can also have a bit of bitterness depending on the grape, how long the skins are left in contact with the juice, and the vessel used for maturation. Unlike most white wines, they can also feature tannins (which are formed from the skins, which white wines do not use). Orange wines are a style that brings out some really interesting flavors that many people adore for their unique properties, whether easy going or complex.
