Nino Barraco 'Fior di Rosso' is made with Nero d’Avola, grown from the west coast of Sicily, Marsala to be precise. This has lovely touches of black cherry, eucalyptus and pepper on the nose and features a tasty prune and mild sour apple twang on the palate. Nice to have it at 12%, tasty stuff.

NATURAL WINES BY NINO BARRACO

Nino Barraco makes wine around Marsala in western Sicily, with some vines growing just metres from the sea, and you can taste the salt in wines like Vignammare. Marsala is mostly known for cheap cooking wine, and Nino is one of the producers changing that with serious, emotional wines from local grapes like Catarratto, Zibibbo and Nero d'Avola.
