Perfect Day 2024

Perfect Day 2024 from Pittnauer in Burgenland Austria is a beautiful wine made from the grapes Muscat Ottonel, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc (Weissburgunder)

Interestingly, the newer vintages are white (before it was more macerated, so technically orange).

How does Perfect Day by Pittnauer taste?

Expect a tropical-driven, zesty profile with extra notes of salt, lychee, lime and grapefruit peel. We enjoy the easy-going mouthfeel, which can be dangerously drinkable.

The wine name "Perfect Day" comes from the song by Lou Reed, and to be honest it's quite fitting for this lovely wine.

Gerhard "Piti" Pittnauer states that "the simple joys of life are summed up to make a perfect day. For us it's about making a wine that can accompany such a day or make it one."

All four grape varieties were matured on the lees in used barriques for over six months and were only brought together shortly before bottling. No added sulphites were used in this natural wine, making it a so called 'Zero Zero' wine.
