VN Blanco 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Partida Creus, in the Catalonia region in Spain. This popular and refreshing white wine is made with Grenache Blanc, Macabeu, Muscat, Xarel lo, Vinyater, Pansé and Parellada grapes.
Tasting VN 2022 by Partida Creus
This 2022 vintage of VN Blanco is stable for a quick round with friends (see note below), juicy, refreshing and with a tropical touch.
Think notes of lychee, cucumber, meadow flowers, salt, minerality and chamomile. Delightful on a hot summers day.
Note: This wine with no added sulphur is lovely BUT needs to be drunk within 1.5 hours, as it will not hold its stableness for longer, so drink with friends and enjoy.
Why is this Partida Creus wine called VN?
These entry level Partida Creus wines from Penedes are named after a style of wine called Vinel-Lo, which is essentially a low alcohol table wine made with grape pomace, which is the style of lightness owners Massimo and Antonella aim for with both the VN red and the VN White.
Whilst the other wines of Partida Creus reflect the grapes used, like SM for Sumoll, here with the big blend it is easiest to just refer to the style of wine in the initials.
