Mount Etna, in Sicily, is where Calabretta's wine comes from, and what we have from them is red.
Elisir 2022 is Nerello Mascalese with a small amount of Nerello Cappuccio alongside it. Expect a more classic touch to this 14% wine, plus a bold structure and some tannic weight. We have not opened this vintage yet. Low intervention Etna wine is very hard to find at this price, which is most of the reason it is on the shelf.
