Calcarot 2015 by Casè is a red wine made in Emilia-Romagna with Barbera and Croatina grapes.

Production details of Calcarot: Calcarot 2015 comes from Casè, founded in 1998 by Alberto Anguissola in the hills of the Trebbia Valley in Emilia-Romagna. The wine blends Barbera and Croatina from vineyards farmed without synthetic chemistry, where vines grow alongside wild herbs and small animals. Cellar-aged for years before release, with less than 10 mg/L of sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Calcarot by Casè, but we hear it has notes of dried cherry, blackberry, leather, sweet spice and earthy undergrowth.
