Bourgogne Rouge 2020

Burgundy Rouge 2020 is a natural wine crafted by La Maison Romane, in the Burgundy region in France. This red wine is made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes, crafted by Orance de Beler of the domaine who is based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, and who buys grapes as a Negociant from talented Vignerons nearby.

In the winery, only a few interventions are performed with the punching down done only in the final phase, without added sulfur, or with very low doses. The ageing of the wines last 12 months in old oak barrels. From the beginning, the wines of La Maison Romane were not fined, not filtered, and are manually bottled. All the vintages are waxed closed. 

This Bourgogne Rouge is a Pinot Noir grown on the Côte Chalonnaise, on clay & limestone soils.

Tasting wise. This is EXCELLENT VALUE for money giving bright, earthy complexities at the entry level but so, so generous in what it offers at the price.
