MicroBio is a Spanish winery located in the province of Valladolid, which is part of the Castilla y Leon region. The winery was founded in 2010 by Ismael Gozalo, who comes from a family of winemakers with over 300 years of experience in the industry.
MicroBio has quickly gained a reputation for producing unique and high-quality natural wines. The vineyards of MicroBio are located at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, in the village of Nieva. The vines, including some pre-phylloxera Verdejo (!), are grown on sandy soils, which are rich in calcium carbonate and other minerals.
