Ponzichter

Ponzichter from Franz Weninger is an excellent value red, taken from vineyards in both Austria AND Hungary, as he has plots in both countries. The grapes are a combination of Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Zweigelt.

The name actually comes from the German minority who used to grow wine there, and grew vegetables inbetween the vines, which the Hungarians mocked them for, calling them Ponzichter. 

This juicy, light wine is for lovers of Claus Preisinger’s Puszta Libre, as it shares some resemblance. Bright cherry and earthy hits with a touch of spice, all in tasty glouglou format ready for your next pizza session or park day out!
