Grüner Veltliner

Grüner Veltliner is a budget natural wine crafted by Hareter, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This white wine is made with Grüner Veltliner grapes.

Production details of Grüner Veltliner (Hareter): Grüner Veltliner from Thomas and Claudia Hareter comes from 33-year-old vines on poor gravel soils in Weiden am See, Burgenland. Hand-harvested, lightly foot-crushed and pressed same day. Wild ferment without temperature control. 6 months on the fine lees in stainless steel before bottling.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Grüner Veltliner by Hareter, but we hear it has notes of quince, apple, lemon thyme and a crisp mineral finish.
