Malbec
Although it is most associated with Argentina, Malbec originated in the southwest of France (where it's also known as Côt and Auxxerois). Argentinian Malbec wines are much fruitier than their French counterparts, which are earthier and greener, with higher acidity - which also gives them better potential for ageing.
