Fall in Love with Francesco Guccione (Sicily) Box DEAL

It is no secret that we are big fans of Sicily, the island in general, but also the wines in particular. One of the winemakers we have really fallen in love with is Francesco Guccione from the Monreale region in Sicily. 

Francesco works the land inherited from his family, who themselves instead farmed for the cooperative, so unlike Francesco who makes his own wines. With a lot of soul and passion going into his craft, his holistic approach in the vines and non-interventionalist style in the cellar gives very expressive interpretations of typical Sicilian grapes like Trebbiano, Perricone, Caterratto and Nerelo Mascalese.

In this box we've put together four of his beautiful wines, which hopefully will make you fall in love with Francesco's wines too:

T 2019 Trebbiano - a beautiful expression of this grape, golden in colour, elegant, classy and rounded

Nerello Mascalese 2020 - will benefit from a decant and holds extremely well (we tried it with Francesco after having been open for four days)

Machado 2020 - beautiful herbal notes on this so-called  Rose, it's actually made with a red AND white blend of Trebbiano, Catarratto, Perricone & Nerello Mascalese

Cerasa Bianco 2021 - a rounded and beautiful 50/50 blend of Trebbiano and Catarratto
