Petit Verdot ist eine Sorte von Rotweintraube, die hauptsächlich in klassischen Bordeaux-Mischungen verwendet wird. Sie reift viel später als die anderen Sorten in Bordeaux, oft zu spät, deshalb geriet sie in ihrer Heimatregion in Ungnade. Wenn sie jedoch reift, fügt sie in kleinen Mengen Tannin, Farbe und Geschmack zur Mischung hinzu.
