Nave Bianco 2022

Nave Bianco 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Vino di Anna, in the Sicily region in Italy. This white wine is made with Carricante, .... as we;; as Riesling, Chenin and Savagnin! No... we did not believe that either.

The grapes for Nave Bianco were hand-harvested from the highest vineyard on the estate, “vigna Nave” which is located between 1100 meters and 1200 meters above sea level on the north-west side of Mount Etna. The soil there is gray volcanic sand with a rich presence of minerals.

After harvest, the grapes were vinified both using both direct press and whole bunch, and then fermented in chestnut barrels without temperature control, then aged 18 months on the lees. We hear the volcanic character of the Etna soil is reflected in the quite mineral profile of the wine.
