Michi Lorenz is an up-and-coming superstar of the Austrian wine region, farming 16 hectares of steep vineyards in the southern front of the Sausal mountains, in a small place called Kitzeck im Sausal.

Schist and slate soils dominate here, offering distinct minerality in the wines of the region and when made naturally like Michi Lorenz who favours wines with minimal added sulphites, the minerality and precision shines even more.
