Felsen II 2022

Felsen II 2022 is a red natural wine crafted by Christian Tschida, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This red wine is made with 100% Syrah grapes, unlike Felsen I which is made with Zweigelt.

Here, hand-harvested Syrah grapes from 30 year old vines grown near Illmitz are gently crushed by foot before aging in 1200l barrels for 12 months. 

Tasting wise this needs a little aging to blossom. Drinking now with a carafe we enjoyed notes of black olives, blackcurrants, subtle green touches and interesting spices, as well as a hint of black tea.
