Tasting Roca Viva - Groovin High
WOW! What a wine!! Just be sure to put in a carafe for 30 minutes and serve in decent wine glasses to let this wine fully express itself as with the right treatment it is an absolute banger!
Expect vibrant minerality that really seduces you in for more. WE ADORED notes of concentrated blackberry compote, gravel, dry tobacco and thyme ending in a long, smooth finish.
No added sulphites and one of the most impressive "big reds" on the shop

The grapes for Groovin High were harvested from 80-100 year old vines in schist and quartzite soils, 1400 meters above sea level. After a late September harvest, they were then hand destemmed and crushed by foot and macerated for 15 days in PVC tanks with 25% whole bunch fermentation. After draining and pressing, the wine was then aged for 22 months in clay amphora, then bottled unfiltered & unfined in September 2023 with no added sulphur.
